The National Theatre is the ultimate wedding venue in central London.
Just a stone’s throw from some of London’s most iconic landmarks, such as the London Eye, River Thames and Big Ben, the National Theatre is home to multiple spaces in which to celebrate, including the Buffini Chao Deck, Lasdun Restaurant and our outdoor terraces.
Whether you’re looking for a full-day celebration, or a drinks reception venue in central London, our stunning views and Brutalist design are bound to make your wedding a show-stopping and memorable occasion.

Venue specifications
Most weddings are based in the Buffini Chao Deck, with the option to spread out to other areas in the building for parts of your day.
The Deck is a fully licensed wedding venue for up to 110 guests. Post-ceremony, we can host up to 100 guests for a seated meal, or up to 200 guests for a standing reception.
For wedding breakfasts in Lasdun, we can accommodate up to 90 guests seated and up to 200 guests standing.
Audio-visual facilities
Our state-of-the-art lighting and AV have been specially designed and installed by the National Theatre’s Sound & Video and Lighting departments, allowing you to tailor the atmosphere, from intimate low lighting to a vibrant party.
We are able to supply two handheld microphones for use in The Deck. DJs are able to plug into our existing sound system. For Lasdun, AV comes at an additional charge.
Food and drink
We are able to offer a number of food and drink options for your big day. From canapes and bowl food, courtesy of our in-house team, to street food from KERB and feasting menus enjoyed at the contemporary Lasdun Restaurant, your big day is bound to be filled with delicious flavours.
Entertainment
Make your day one to remember with a range of live entertainment options. Hire a string quartet to walk you down the aisle, a magician to entertain guests during the drinks reception, or a photobooth for long-lasting memories of the night.
